About vbanz photography

As a current full-time certified athletic trainer with a passion for helping others, I always sought after ways of expressing my creative side. Since beginning my journey as a self-taught photographer in 2017, I've been fortunate to grow and flourish in the many ways I have been able to serve other through my lens.

Hello, I'm ivy!

You may already know me, or this may be your first time visiting — either way, welcome! My name is Ivy Baker, and I am the proud owner of VBanz Photography. Back in 2017, I was an athletic training student at The University of Alabama. As a college student with an ever-changing schedule due to clinical's, I was eager to work, but most jobs couldn’t accommodate my availability.

Creativity has always been a part of who I am. Growing up, I loved exploring arts and crafts, from crocheting and painting to DIY projects — and most of all, photography. I’ve always been drawn to helping and serving others, which guided my path into healthcare, but I also knew I needed a creative outlet of my own. Photography became that outlet — a way to serve others by capturing their most meaningful and cherished moments. As a self-taught photographer, I began by photographing seniors, which eventually blossomed into VBanz Photography.

My husband Rob and daughter Blair are my absolute favorite people - they motivate me to be the best version of myself, as a wife, mom, friend, daughter, and photographer.

Watching and supporting someone’s journey — whether it was recovering from an injury, returning to the field, or regaining strength after surgery — taught me patience and the value of genuine connection. I bring that same care and attention into my photography, celebrating each moment with intention and heart.

At the core of my work is a commitment to connection and empathy. I love collaborating with clients and creating a space where joy, laughter, and authenticity can shine. My goal is to provide photographs that feel real and timeless — heartfelt stories preserved for generations to come.
